Reporting to the System Coordinator of Alternative and Continuing Education, the Outside Looking In Dance Teacher will work collaboratively with Outside Looking In (https://www.olishow.com/dance) and Kettle and Stony Point First Nation to teach a dance (ATC1O/2O) program. The program will be offered to Kettle & Stony Point students in grade 8-12. The teacher will use a curriculum that has been developed by Outside Looking In. The program will take place at Hillside School at Kettle & Stony Point and will include:
• dance sessions that are led by Outside Looking In
• practices that are led by Kettle & Stony Point staff
• delivery and evaluation of modules of written activities that support the curriculum expectations

Qualifications/Experience:
• Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification required;
• Knowledge of and experience teaching various arts disciplines that explore or reflect First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives, culture, and traditions is preferred;
• Teaching qualifications or relevant experience in dance;
• Experience working with Indigenous students is an asset.
Position Effective Date & Length:
Dance sessions will take place Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates: February 2-6, February 23-27, and March 23-27.
Practices will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. during non-session weeks from November 24 to mid-May.
Rate of pay as per Adult Day School - Credit Granting Grid placement (minimum $48.39/hour).
100 paid hours
