Posting Overview

Reporting to the Supervisor of Applied Behaviour Analysis, the incumbent will work as a member of the ABA team providing support and professional development to school and Board staff with respect to Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) practice, behavioural support strategies, functional behaviour assessments, behaviour support plans, and/or safe intervention plans.

Job Duties include:

  • Support and coach school teams in conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans. May also complete functional behavior assessments; 
  • Develop and support the implementation of comprehensive intervention plans for students ranging from preschool to high school; with a spectrum of behaviours who have been either identified or unidentified; 
  • Develop appropriate data collection techniques; 
  • Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary team, including staff, parents/guardians, and/or community agencies; 
  • Develop and facilitate professional development to educators in the school regarding the use and application of applied behaviour analysis strategies in the classroom; 
  • Collect, summarize and analyze data related to the implementation of strategies, behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans that may be communicated to internal and external stakeholders; 
  • Model appropriate behavioural strategies for school-based staff; 
  • Advocate and support an inclusionary school climate; 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Education, Psychology, Disability Studies, Developmental Disabilities or related discipline or a post graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science; 
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is preferred;
  • Minimum four (4) years experience designing and implementing applied behaviour analysis programs for children and youth with challenging or at-risk behaviour; 
  • ABA Clinical experience including knowledge of behavioural interventions; 
  • Experience in a school board environment is preferred; 
  • Access to reliable transportation as travel throughout the district is required.
Other Key Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD);   
  • Experience with community partners and Ministry initiatives related to ASD; 
  • Demonstrated practical experience in the field of behaviour analysis; 
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing positive behaviour strategies and supports; 
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development and delivery of professional development, including coaching and mentoring; 
  • Experience and knowledge in running social skills programs; 
  • Proven ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team; 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders; 
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
Position Effective Date & Length

Temporary, CUPE 12 month, 35 hours/week
Two positions available - one to end April 17, 2026 and one to end August 14, 2026.
Home location to be determined.
Salary: $78,452 - $83,112/annum
